Breede River Attractions

The Breede River area has wonderful historic and natural attractions all within a stone's throw of the Mudlark River Front Lodge.

There's Witsand on the opposite bank of the river which was the heart of the Barry empire during the 18th century. Now it is a sleepy village with interesting historical buildings.

The old customs shed and church all built by the Barry family near Port Beaufort which was once an international anchorage - only the jetty remains.

If you are planning a trip to the Breede River or surrounding areas be sure to look at Mudlark River Front Lodge for Breede River Accommodation.
